About Us

The Bridge is a nonprofit social service agency that provides a comprehensive range of services, including supportive housing and behavioral health treatment, to vulnerable New Yorkers. With over 60 programs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, The Bridge serves more than 4,200 people annually.

The Bridge Arts Institute is a non-clinical program offered to residents of Bridge Housing or receiving services through the organization. The program aims to empower individuals pursuing creative passions, particularly those facing financial or social barriers. We provide materials, cultivate a supportive community, and offer a safe space for artistic expression, professional practice, and personal growth. The Institute also brings in teaching artists and organizes group trips to local art installations and museums. By fostering creativity, we aim to enhance well-being and contribute to meaningful recovery journeys.  The program produces six curated exhibits at our Harlem gallery each year where artists have the opportunity to connect with the local community and sell their work.

Your purchase of artwork directly supports the artists as they receive 100% of the selling price.
