Kate Tanenbaum

My name is Kate Tanenbaum.  I live in New York City.  I've been creating Artwork since early childhood.  The medium I work with ranges from charcoal on paper, to mixed media, consisting of acrylic paint, pastel and watercolor.  

 

The thematic context, or subject matter I paint , is varied.  I usually paint Nature in its different forms.  Birds, mountains, trees and flowers are some of my favorite aspects of Nature.  I enjoy creating visually colorful and thought provoking images using different brush techniques.  

 

It is my belief that Nature has an unspoken voice.  Birds sing and flowers bloom giving the air a brilliant fragrance.  Living in a city can be stressful. We should have more parks, open spaces with trees , shrubs and plants.  I hope someday a more people-friendly and Green environment gets created by the people in the community.
